200 internally displaced women and children in 3 shelters in Lviv and Lviv region received the necessary help from us. To ensure their nutrition, we delivered vegetables, cereals, meat, dairy products, groceries, eggs, canned food, cookies, etc.
180 people, including 40 children, 15 elderly people and 7 with disabilities, live in “Ya doomozhy” shelter in conditions of constant power outages, so people are completely without a source of heat and energy. Charging stations will help solve problems with light, charging gadgets, operation of household appliances, etc.
As of today, 11 women and 15 children live in ‘Mother and Baby” shelter. These are families from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv. Some of them have been living in a shelter since last spring, because there is no way to return because of hostilities, or because their houses have been destroyed. We bought 10 cubic meters of firewood for their needs, which will help provide heating in the shelter for 2 months.
69 people, including 51 women and 9 children, from temporarily occupied territories or from territories where active hostilities are taking place, live today in a dormitory of an educational institution in Zaporizhzhia. Wardrobes were needed for more comfortable living conditions of people, because their clothes and personal belongings were simply stored in suitcases and bags.
On the basis of a children’s camp in a small village in Poltava region, a shelter was created for those who were forced to flee the war in the first days of the full-scale war. Today it is a home for 105 people, including 28 children. We purchased and delivered more than 500 notebooks for their educational needs .
The orphanage-boarding house in Mukachevo sheltered 22 children with disabilities from the Donetsk region. Due to constant shelling of infrastructure facilities and power outages, life in the shelter is greatly complicated. Having a generator helps, but it needs fuel to run. So we delivered 280 liters of fuel for their needs.
100 internally displaced persons from Kharkiv, Luhansk, Lysychansk, Kramatorsk, Kherson, Nikopol and other cities found shelter in Lviv region. For their needs, we purchased and delivered gas stoves and gas cylinders for use in blackout conditions, as well as food supplies.
The shelter “Vse bude dobre” in Lviv has become a home for more than 150 people affected by the war. About 50 children are among them. Children today are very limited in pleasures and joyful moments, so we sent them many fiction books to fill and diversify their leisure time.
About 50 people live in the Oriyentyr shelter, including children, people with disabilities, and the elderly. These people have nowhere to go to save themselves from danger, they were forced to leave their usual lives and homes due to military aggression by the russian federation. To ensure their nutrition, we delivered them over 400 kilograms of food supplies.
Not only people who lost their homes due to the war live in “Obriy” shelter, but also people with disabilities, as the facility is equipped with special ramps, elevators, etc. In total, these are about 30 people who left Slavyansk, Lysychansk, Bakhmut, Kherson and other cities. We delivered them gas stoves and kitchen utilities.
The NGO “Care in Action” takes care of about 200 IDPs in Lviv, provides shelters for families with children, and provides social and humanitarian support. For the people who live centrally in the shelter, we purchased and delivered heater fans and gas cylinders.
At the moment, 50 people evacuated from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv regions, as well as 12 orphans from Donetsk region, live in the shelter. Most of the people came here in the spring and still cannot return to their homes. To improve their living conditions, we delivered them a refrigerator and gas stoves.
15 children from “Mother and Baby” shelter received the desired gifts from St. Nicholas. The war took away a happy childhood from these children, but we wanted them to rejoice at least for a certain time and continue to believe in miracles. So they got dolls, radio-controlled cars, constructors, toys, sweets and more.
Due to frosts and constant blackouts of electricity and heating, providing people with a hot drink becomes a critical necessity. So we handed over 40 thermoses for people living today in the refugee center in Zaporizhzhia.
175 people, including 106 women and 53 children, who were forced to leave their homes due to the war found safety in “Ya Dopomozhy” shelter. We purchased and delivered food supplies for their needs – meat, fish, dairy products, vegetables, fruit, cereals, eggs, tea, etc.
Today, the Lviv College dormitory is home to 43 internally displaced persons. Given the cold weather and the long-term lack of electricity and heating, the lives of these people have become critically difficult. We purchased and delivered them a boiler, clothes dryers, food heating devices, etc.
